According to TechCrunch, NVIDIA has announced the acquisition of AI open-source platform Hugging Face for $12.93 billion. NVIDIA's CEO has promised that Hugging Face will maintain its positioning as an open platform, allowing developers to freely choose models, frameworks, and computing platforms without mandatory use of NVIDIA's computing power.
