On September 3, as reported by The Information, Maher Saba and Santosh Janardhan, executives at Meta Platforms, issued an internal memo on Tuesday outlining updated expectations for engineers within the company. The memo clearly articulated that the company will no longer assess employee performance based on AI adoption rate dashboards or metrics related to token usage. Presently, 93% of code modifications are facilitated by artificial intelligence; however, the memo underscored that the mere adoption of AI is not the end goal.
