On September 3, the Shanghai Municipal Government convened a press conference. During the event, Huang Xintian, Deputy Commissioner of Shanghai Customs, highlighted that, throughout the '15th Five-Year Plan' period, Customs will bolster its policy backing. Specifically, on the import front, Customs will streamline customs clearance procedures for research and development materials, enact preferential import tax measures to foster technological innovation, and champion innovation at the industrial forefront. On the export side, emphasis will be placed on high-end manufacturing sectors, including integrated circuits and artificial intelligence products, to spur rapid growth in emerging industries and facilitate the global expansion of 'Made in Shanghai' products.
