The Ministry of Science and ICT in South Korea has revealed its decision to choose a consortium, spearheaded by Naver Cloud, for the development of a large-scale AI foundation model dedicated to the realm of cybersecurity. Commencing in September, the government will allocate 256 NVIDIA B200 GPUs to the consortium over a span of 10 months. South Korea is set to ink an agreement with the consortium this month and commence the relevant R&D endeavors. The selection process took into account several facets, encompassing technical prowess, development history, proposal strategy, project viability, market prospects, and the expected influence.
