The Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission has initiated the second phase of its targeted campaign, "Clear and Bright: Rectifying Chaos in AI Applications," with a particular focus on curbing the spread of AI-generated false information. To date, this initiative has successfully purged over 5.61 million pieces of illegal and non-compliant content from cyberspace. Furthermore, it has led to investigations into more than 49,000 accounts and taken action against over 2,400 websites and applications that failed to adhere to regulations.

Leading platforms such as Douyin have bolstered their governance mechanisms, incorporating advanced multimodal recognition technologies and issuing 46 governance announcements to enhance transparency and accountability. Similarly, AI platforms like Doubao have implemented rigorous reviews of their training corpora and reinforced content labeling practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Application stores, exemplified by Huawei's, have tightened their developer access reviews and introduced random inspections of listed applications to maintain a high standard of quality and legality. The cyberspace authorities have also publicized multiple typical cases to serve as deterrents and have committed to handling non-compliant AI products and applications in strict accordance with the law, thereby upholding the integrity and safety of the digital ecosystem.
