On September 1, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, released industry research revealing that NVIDIA has revived its project for the artificial intelligence inference prefilling accelerated GPU, known as 'Rubin CPX.' This resumption comes with substantial design modifications. Production is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2027. In terms of chip specifications, the new Rubin CPX boasts computational capabilities akin to those of the standard Rubin GPU, while delivering even superior prefilling performance. Each unit has a maximum power consumption of 2300W and is outfitted with 168GB of HBM4 memory.
