According to reports, AI labs such as OpenAI have acquired tens of thousands of Mac mini and Mac Studio devices. These are being used for reinforcement learning training and the development of AI agents. Due to the soaring demand, they have repeatedly pressed Apple to speed up deliveries. In the meantime, Anthropic is tapping into Mac computing power via Amazon Web Services. Some startups are even setting up cloud services based on Macs, anticipating a future spike in demand for Apple hardware.
