With a 25-year track record in hardware product development, Ternus will confront several challenges upon taking the helm, including Apple’s relatively slower progress in AI development, a deceleration in its service business growth, and escalating supply chain costs. Apple has plans to roll out a revamped version of its Siri AI in September, alongside introducing several innovative AI-enabled products. Ternus is also dedicated to leveraging AI to streamline product development and enhance other operational processes. Furthermore, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is anticipated to make its debut at the September 9 event, marking a significant milestone as Ternus’s first major product launch in his new role as CEO.
