On August 29, local time, the inaugural humanoid robot mass production facility in Serbia—and indeed, in all of Europe—was officially inaugurated in Sabac. This robot factory, a joint venture between China and Serbia, marks a significant milestone in technological collaboration between the two nations.

The initial phase of the factory has seen an investment of 20 million euros, sprawling across an area of roughly 3,000 square meters. Its primary focus lies in the assembly, calibration, and rigorous testing of humanoid robots and robotic canines. The factory is set to produce a diverse range of humanoid robot models, initially targeting industrial production applications. Subsequently, its scope will broaden to encompass sectors such as education and public services.

Looking ahead, the project envisions the establishment of a comprehensive robot industrial park in subsequent phases, with a projected total investment of approximately 200 million euros. Upon full completion, the factory is anticipated to boast an annual production capacity of up to 20,000 units of humanoid robots and robot dogs. These cutting-edge products are poised for distribution across European and global markets, heralding a new era of technological advancement and international cooperation.
