According to reports from foreign media on the 28th, OpenAI has declared that it will cease providing model services to Cursor, the AI programming platform owned by SpaceX, with the intended termination date slated for November 12, 2026. OpenAI elaborated on social media that this decision stems from past encounters, noting that several companies associated with Musk have violated contractual agreements. Consequently, there is considerable doubt regarding whether SpaceX would adhere to the terms of service in utilizing the technology.
In reaction, Musk took to the X platform, expressing that he 'couldn't care less' and leveling accusations against OpenAI CEO Altman and President Brockman, labeling them as 'untrustworthy and having appropriated an open-source non-profit entity.'
In June of this year, SpaceX unveiled its acquisition of Cursor's parent company, Anysphere, via a $60 billion all-stock deal, which was finalized earlier this month. Previously, Musk initiated a $150 billion lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging that it had strayed from its non-profit objectives. OpenAI, in turn, contended that Musk was seeking to gain control over the company.
