The new policy permits the use of generative AI in development and documentation, acknowledging its potential to enhance productivity. However, it mandates that AI-generated code and documentation must meet quality and compliance standards, with ultimate responsibility resting with human developers. Meanwhile, contributors are not required to label whether AI was used, but are merely encouraged to disclose it.
