On August 29, OpenAI announced on the X platform that it would terminate its partnership with Cursor, the AI programming assistant, following its acquisition by SpaceX. In another post on its official website, OpenAI stated that it had notified Cursor of the gradual termination of the contract, with the shutdown date set for November 12. OpenAI mentioned that, given past experiences of contract violations by companies under Musk's leadership, it could not be confident that SpaceX would use the technology within the scope of its service terms.
