With the continuous expansion of AI computing power infrastructure, the demand for high-speed optical interconnection has surged, ushering the optical communication sector into a prosperous period marked by both volume and price increases. Since August, segments of the optical communication sector such as optical fiber and CPO have shown active performance. Data from Choice indicates that several stocks, including Hengdongguang, Changyingtong, and Taichenguang, have seen increases of over 80%. The activity in the optical communication sector is attributed to significant breakthroughs in industrialization. On August 14, NVIDIA announced the full-scale mass production of its Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon photonics switch, the world's first mass-produced 200G/lane CPO Ethernet switch system. This switch employs the Spectrum-6 switching chip, with the number of lasers reduced to just one-fourth of traditional solutions, power consumption lowered to one-fifth, optical loss significantly reduced from approximately 22dB to about 4dB, and signal integrity improved by 64 times.
