On August 27, OpenAI announced the launch of its commercial operations in Brazil, establishing a local team in São Paulo to serve businesses, developers, researchers, and public institutions. OpenAI revealed that Brazil is one of the top three global markets for ChatGPT in terms of weekly active users, with the user base nearly doubling over the past year. Currently, Brazilian users send approximately 215 million messages to ChatGPT daily. In terms of the number of developers using the OpenAI API, Brazil ranks second globally and is also the largest market for Codex in Latin America.
