On Wednesday, Zhipu confirmed that Ox Alpha is a new-generation version of its GLM series models and announced that it would release the model weights that evening. Currently, Ox Alpha is available for free use and ranks first on the OpenRouter leaderboard in the AI model market, with usage more than twice that of DeepSeek. Zhipu plans to publicly release the model weights, i.e., the parameters that guide the decision-making of the AI system, so that developers can develop other products based on this model.
