Quantum computing company Quantinuum has unveiled its new quantum processor, Helios, which features 98 qubits and is currently the largest trapped-ion quantum computer. The core highlight of Helios lies in its ability to schedule ion positions within the chip, transporting qubits from the storage area to the computational area, thereby enhancing the capability to perform quantum operations in parallel. The system achieves a single-qubit gate fidelity of 99.9975% and a two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921%, supports real-time error correction, and is now available to global customers through both cloud services and on-premises deployment.
