On August 24, Alibaba DAMO Academy, working hand in hand with esteemed institutions including Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University, successfully developed an innovative AI model tailored for liver cancer diagnosis, known as DAMO LiON. This cutting-edge model is adept at pinpointing even the tiniest liver cancer lesions through CT scans. During a two-month prospective clinical trial, it successfully identified 15 malignant tumors that had previously gone undetected, with the majority being lesions measuring approximately 1cm in size. The research findings related to this groundbreaking model have been published in the prestigious journal Nature Medicine.
