Congressional lawyers in the United States are struggling to cope with a flood of legislative drafts generated by artificial intelligence tools, which are riddled with errors and of poor quality. Eight current and former officials from the Office of Legislative Counsel of the House of Representatives stated that the workload of the office has been increasing due to the growing reliance of congressional offices and external agencies on generative AI for drafting bills.
