On August 21, sources revealed that artificial intelligence company Anthropic plans to invite Citigroup to join its primary underwriting group for its IPO. If successful, Citigroup will serve as a core underwriter alongside Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase. Anthropic is expected to submit its listing application by the end of this month. The role of core underwriter not only brings substantial commissions but also enhances the investment banking business ranking. Citigroup currently ranks among the top in U.S. IPO underwriting due to its involvement in SpaceX's $86.2 billion IPO project.
