On August 14, OpenAI appointed its second Chief Revenue Officer in less than a year, aiming to strengthen sales growth and pave the way for its upcoming listing on Wall Street. The new Chief Revenue Officer is Dariusz Lacki, who previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Wiz, a cybersecurity company under Alphabet. He will replace Dennis Dresser, who joined in December last year and will depart after a transition period. This appointment comes amid a period of adjustment for OpenAI's senior management team, with several executives, including Brad Lightcap, Fidji Simo, and Kevin Weil, having recently left. OpenAI President Greg Brockman stated that the company needs to continuously demonstrate in its next phase that every dollar invested by customers in artificial intelligence can deliver measurable business value. He revealed that OpenAI's annual revenue run rate grew by over 20% month-on-month in July, with enterprise customer business growing by 32%. Additionally, OpenAI announced last month that its weekly active users have surpassed 1 billion.
