Today, Lin Junyang unveiled in Shanghai the inception of Pragmatik Labs (also known as Pragmatic Technology, or p7k for brevity), a pioneering venture dedicated to advancing the research of next-generation agents that seamlessly connect the digital and physical realms. Born in 1993, Lin Junyang rose to prominence as Alibaba's youngest technical expert at the P10 level. Alongside Tang Jie, Yang Zhilin, and Yao Shunyu, he earned the moniker "The Four Prodigies of Foundation Models." He departed from Alibaba this past March. Pragmatik has successfully secured a substantial funding round worth hundreds of millions of US dollars. This round was co-led by Gaorong Capital and Sequoia China, with notable participation from Tencent and the Shanghai Future Industry Fund. Specifically, Gaorong Capital and Sequoia China each contributed approximately US$100 million, while Tencent invested around US$20 million. This infusion of capital has propelled the company's post-investment valuation to an impressive US$2 billion.
