Report: Global Humanoid Robot Shipments Soar Threefold in First Half of the Year, Chinese Firms Dominate with 97% Market Share

On August 11, data released by the independent market research company Smart Analytics Global revealed that global shipments of humanoid robots skyrocketed to around 19,100 units in the first half of 2026, marking a nearly threefold increase compared to the same period the previous year. Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers emerged as the dominant force, capturing over 97% of the global market share. Notably, Zhiyuan Robotics overtook Unitree Technology for the first time, securing the top spot on the market share leaderboard with 8,400 units shipped, which accounted for 44% of the worldwide total. Meanwhile, Unitree Technology delivered 5,900 units, significantly outperforming competitors such as Tesla and Figure AI. Furthermore, the industrial and commercial sectors emerged as the primary drivers of growth, accounting for more than 70% of total robot shipments—a notable rise from 50% recorded a year earlier.
