Recently, Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus announced the completion of a strategic equity financing round worth $2 billion, with investors including NVIDIA, Coatue Management, funds under Blackstone Group, and Jane Street. Notably, NVIDIA and Coatue Management participated as repeat investors. Following this funding round, the company's post-money valuation exceeded $10.5 billion, nearly doubling from its previous valuation of approximately $5.5 billion in April this year. The funds will be used to accelerate the deployment of its 'Southgate AI Factory' project in Australia and prepare for future expansion into other Asia-Pacific markets.
