In alignment with the “Opinions on the In-Depth Implementation of the ‘AI Plus’ Action” issued by the State Council, as well as the “Implementation Opinions on the Standardized Application and Innovative Development of Intelligent Agents” jointly released by the Cyberspace Administration of China and two other departments, Beijing Municipality has rolled out a series of policy initiatives to foster integrated innovation in artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent agent technologies.
On the technological front: Beijing is committed to enhancing the quality and capabilities of foundational AI models, addressing critical challenges in general-purpose intelligent agent technologies that span across different models and chips, and bolstering the intelligent agent toolchain and standardization systems.
On the application front: The city is promoting the seamless integration of intelligent agents into terminal hardware devices such as smartphones and smart glasses, thereby expediting the deployment of native applications in key sectors like scientific exploration, smart manufacturing, healthcare, and education.
On the industrial front: Beijing is nurturing emerging business models, including OPC super economic entities and token economies, establishing a tiered and classified service system, and reinforcing support for vital elements such as computing power, capital, and talent.
On the ecological front: The municipality is building open-source communities and security infrastructure, exploring a tiered and classified regulatory framework, and steering intelligent agents towards standardized, secure, and innovative development paths.
Through a comprehensive policy mix, Beijing Municipality is driving technological advancements, facilitating scenario-based deployments, and constructing a robust industrial ecosystem for intelligent agents, thereby contributing to the establishment of a global innovation hub for artificial intelligence.
