SpaceX founder Elon Musk confirmed during an earnings call and on social media that the company will exclusively use NVIDIA GPUs to meet all its AI computing needs, describing their products as the best in the market. SpaceX plans to have over 2 gigawatts of computing power by the end of this year, nearing 10 gigawatts next year. The first batch of Starmind AI satellites will be launched next year, equipped with NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and Vera CPUs. SpaceX is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop the Starmind AI satellite computing payload, deploying data center-level AI computing power to space-based satellite platforms.
