On July 29, in the operating room of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, a groundbreaking procedure was performed on 39-year-old Ms. Wang. A brain signal acquisition device, equipped with two 'antennae,' was carefully implanted into her skull, with the aim of restoring function to her paralyzed hands. This surgery represents a significant milestone as it is the first of its kind to be conducted in Anhui Province following the approval and market introduction of implantable brain-computer interface products.
