The Ministry of Transport, in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission, has jointly released the Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Comprehensive Transportation System. These Opinions underscore the pivotal role of technological innovation in propelling the digital and intelligent transformation of the transportation sector. They emphasize the optimization of the national strategic scientific and technological force layout within transportation, as well as the expedited establishment of a holistic technological innovation framework for the industry. Simultaneously, there will be a reinforced focus on cross-departmental synergy for scientific and technological endeavors centered around intelligent, comprehensive, and three-dimensional transportation solutions, thereby fostering the growth of 'Artificial Intelligence + Transportation'. Furthermore, enhancements will be made to the standard system governing the digital transformation and upgrading of transportation infrastructure. Efforts will also be directed towards researching and establishing a regulatory framework for intelligent shipping, alongside the formulation of pertinent policies and standards for low-altitude land-air coordination and intermodal transportation.
