Wistron has set up its inaugural production hub in the United States, specifically in Fort Worth, Texas. This ambitious project involves a hefty investment of $700 million, with a primary focus on manufacturing NVIDIA’s state-of-the-art AI superchips, including the GB300 and Vera Rubin models. Spanning an impressive area of around 30,101 square meters, the factory has already generated over 500 employment opportunities, with plans to double this figure to 1,000 by the year’s end. This strategic move aligns with NVIDIA’s broader vision of developing sophisticated AI platforms valued at $500 billion within the US market. Before breaking ground, Wistron harnessed NVIDIA’s open platform to construct a digital twin of the factory, enabling comprehensive simulations across the entire production process. Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's CEO, proclaimed that the system, built around the GB300, represents the 'world's most formidable AI supercomputer,' boasting an intricate assembly of 1.5 million components, tipping the scales at 2 tons, and carrying a price tag of up to $4 million.
