On July 22, as reported by the World Internet Conference, the 2026 Digital Silk Road Development Forum, organized by the World Internet Conference and held under the theme of "Pooling the Wisdom of the Silk Road, Embarking on a New Digital Journey—Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," commenced in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Wang Xingxing, the founder and CEO of Unitree Robotics, was in attendance and delivered a keynote speech. In recent years, the field of humanoid robotics has witnessed remarkable advancements, with application scenarios evolving from basic movements such as walking, dancing, and martial arts to offering rudimentary services. Wang Xingxing projected that the 'ChatGPT Moment' for embodied AI—a pivotal point where AI demonstrates human-like intelligence and adaptability—is likely to occur within the next two to three years. At that juncture, robots will be capable of operating directly in most unfamiliar environments and performing fundamental tasks. He urged all stakeholders to proactively plan based on real-world conditions and capitalize on the emerging opportunities in the age of intelligence.
