On July 17, Dark Side of the Moon released its new-generation open-source large model, Kimi K3, featuring a parameter scale of 2.8 trillion and a 1 million token context window. It natively supports visual understanding, making it the world's first open-source model at the 3 trillion level. After its release, the model topped the global rankings in the Arena AI front-end programming leaderboard. Tesla CEO Elon Musk praised Kimi K3 as 'impressive,' but subsequently announced on July 18 that his AI company's new 2 trillion parameter model, currently in training, might surpass Kimi K3. Dark Side of the Moon's official Weibo account promptly responded, welcoming Musk to join the '2 Trillion+ Club.'
