On July 20th, the State Council Information Office convened a press conference to discuss the industrial and information technology advancements during the first half of 2026. Wang Weiming, the Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, highlighted that, during this period, the innovation capacity within the industrial and information technology sectors continued to strengthen, marked by the deepening and broadening of the "AI+" initiative. Notably, the adoption rate of AI technology applications among large-scale manufacturing enterprises surpassed 30%. Furthermore, the cumulative global downloads of open-source AI large models exceeded 10 billion.
