At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, China unveiled its inaugural, fully homegrown AI supercomputing cluster boasting 100,000 cards—the Sugon 8000 (Dengfeng). The cluster released its latest operational statistics, revealing that it reached full operational capacity within its first week of going live. On average, it processes over 150,000 tasks daily, with a single-day peak exceeding 500,000 tasks. Presently, the cluster has successfully adapted to nearly a thousand supercomputing-AI hybrid applications, spanning a wide range of scenarios at the 10,000-card scale, including large-scale model training, high-throughput inference, and scientific computing.
