From July 17 to 20, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) took place in Shanghai, positioning artificial intelligence as the centerpiece of the global technology sector. The conference boasted a sprawling exhibition area of over 100,000 square meters, showcasing participation from more than 1,100 companies, displaying over 3,000 exhibits, and featuring over 300 products making their worldwide debuts. It encompassed six primary segments and over 140 forums, attracting a gathering of more than 1,400 distinguished guests. Moreover, for the first time, it introduced the prestigious international academic conference, 'WAIC Academic,' and unveiled a series of significant initiatives and case studies.
