MiniMax has unveiled an updated iteration of its desktop application, MiniMax Code 2.0. This latest version has undergone a complete overhaul of its foundational architecture, leveraging the open-source Pi Agent framework. As a result, it now boasts significantly faster session startup times, enhanced stability during prolonged task execution, and improved consistency in tool invocation contexts. Functionality related to file previewing and chart interaction has also been refined.
The new architecture effectively tackles issues of latency and interruptions that were previously encountered during lengthy tasks. It also optimizes the mechanisms for preserving and transferring session states, as well as tool invocation details, for complex workflows.
In terms of specialized applications, MiniMax Code 2.0 is expanding its agent-based financial research functionalities. It has now integrated resources such as the Hundsun financial database and Qichacha MCP. The web version of these financial modules is currently accessible, with the desktop version set to follow shortly. Furthermore, MiniMax Code is set to introduce remote control capabilities this month, aiming to further streamline complex task management and facilitate cross-environment collaboration.
