On July 16, SDIC Yalong River Hydropower Development Company Ltd. officially rolled out China's inaugural integrated water-wind-solar smart operation model within the Yalong River basin in Sichuan Province. This innovative model facilitates the smooth integration of the entire workflow, encompassing meteorological and hydrological forecasting, renewable energy resource prediction, and power operation decision-making. Acting as the 'intelligent core' for a multi-gigawatt clean energy hub, its standout feature is its robust data integration prowess.
By amalgamating data from diverse sources, including satellite remote sensing, ground-based meteorological monitoring stations, hydrological stations across the river basin, and sensor devices at renewable energy installations, it has constructed a comprehensive intelligent forecasting system. This system spans the entire river basin, accounts for all resource components, operates across multiple timeframes, and encompasses the complete spectrum of business operations, such as power generation, dispatch, maintenance, and trading. Following rigorous training with real-world data and tailored optimization for intricate alpine environments, its forecasting accuracy and efficiency have witnessed a substantial boost.
