In response to foreign media reports indicating that the Kyber rack platform might be postponed until 2028, an NVIDIA spokesperson clarified that the company’s roadmap remains unchanged and is proceeding according to schedule. Some research institutions have speculated that the delay could stem from challenges in the manufacturing process of PCB interposer boards. NVIDIA had initially planned to introduce the Kyber rack platform in tandem with the Vera Rubin Ultra chip platform in the second half of 2027. The Kyber NVL144 is a flagship AI supercomputing cabinet system, tailored specifically for GPUs built on the Vera Rubin Ultra architecture. It leverages vertical insertion and orthogonal backplane technology to facilitate high-speed interconnection among 144 GPUs within a single cabinet.
