As per an internal memo from Tesla, commencing on July 6, 2026, Tesla employees will face a weekly cap of $200 on expenses related to AI usage. Any expenditure exceeding this set limit will necessitate approval. This strategic step is taken with the intention of reining in costs, given that Tesla had previously motivated its employees to make extensive use of AI. It's worth noting that this cap does not apply to the beta versions of products originating from Musk's xAI company.
