On July 1st, Beijing time, CNBC broke the news that Anthropic had declared on Tuesday that the US Department of Commerce had rolled back the export restrictions imposed on its two AI models, namely Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5. Earlier, access to these models was halted owing to apprehensions regarding national security threats. With the removal of these restrictions, Anthropic is set to progressively reinstate access to the models from July 2nd onwards and will persist in its cooperation with the government to broaden the accessibility of these models.
