On June 29 (local time), Anthropic revealed that the Claude model has now been fully integrated into Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry). Enterprise users are empowered to deploy and leverage the model directly within the Azure ecosystem, all while retaining their existing Azure identity verification, billing, and governance frameworks. Presently, Azure Foundry accommodates two iterations of the model: Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Haiku 4.5. These iterations are equipped with features like prompt caching and extended reasoning capabilities, rendering them suitable for a wide array of applications, such as programming, intelligent agents, and intricate problem-solving. Anthropic further elaborated that users have the flexibility to select their preferred inference operating environment, with the choice to execute operations either on Azure or within Anthropic’s hosted environment. Looking ahead, both entities are committed to progressively aligning their functionalities and models.
