The Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with four other departments, has jointly issued the "Action Plan for Innovative Application Scenarios of 'Artificial Intelligence + Transportation'". This initiative is designed to unlock a series of high-value application scenarios, cultivate advanced algorithmic models, and nurture the development of new infrastructure, technological equipment, service models, and industrial formats by 2030. The ultimate goal is to harness artificial intelligence to drive the high-quality development and ensure high-level security within the transportation sector. The plan will prioritize key areas including intelligent driving, smart highways, intelligent railways, intelligent shipping, and smart civil aviation. It will involve conducting pilot projects for typical scenarios, such as intelligent road network monitoring, autonomous management of railway equipment, intelligent navigation for vessel formations, and intelligent security screenings for airline passengers. This will ensure a continuous expansion in both the breadth and depth of AI applications throughout the transportation industry.
