On June 25th, David George, a SpaceX investor and partner at Andreessen Horowitz LLC, pointed out that the rapid reusability of the new 'Starship' rocket is crucial for realizing Musk's vision of expanding artificial intelligence computing power using orbital data centers. George believes that as Earth-based AI data center capacity becomes limited, expanding AI capabilities into space will become a trend. He envisions future satellites as 'airplane-sized GPU racks deployed in space' and states that orbital data centers will exist in space as supplementary computing power to Earth's existing facilities. From an economic perspective, space infrastructure may be superior to ground-based facilities. Additionally, SpaceX already possesses the technological capability to deploy such systems.
