At the GTC Taipei 2026 conference, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that the age of autonomous and practical AI has dawned. In this new era, tokens have emerged as the key metric for profitability, and AI is increasingly recognized as a significant 'driver' of GDP growth. Citing relevant data, Huang noted that there are around 30 to 40 million professional software developers worldwide. The volume of AI programming calls has been steadily climbing—300 million in 2023, 400 million in 2024, 500 million in 2025, and a staggering 1.4 billion in the first few months of 2026, nearly tripling the total for the entire previous year.
