On May 28, Tencent unveiled the international edition of its AI desktop assistant, WorkBuddy, specifically designed for users outside China. This edition has undergone localization to suit overseas ecosystems, incorporating features like Skills packages and Expert & Expert Panel functions, which notably reduce the user's learning curve. Utilizing connectors based on the MCP protocol, WorkBuddy facilitates seamless integration with everyday tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, Gmail, Notion, and Slack. Upon connection, the assistant can directly access, modify, and interact with these external services while performing tasks, thereby minimizing the need for users to switch between different platforms or applications.
