On May 27, Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, made a momentous announcement, revealing that the company intends to channel approximately $150 billion annually into Taiwan, China. Huang hailed Taiwan as the “epicenter” of the AI revolution and foresaw its enduring role as a preeminent global technology manufacturing hub. Over the past four to five years, NVIDIA's yearly investment in the region hovered between $10 billion and $15 billion. However, this figure has now surged to $100 billion, with plans to escalate it further to $150 billion. Huang shared these insights during his attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony for NVIDIA's Taiwan headquarters in Taipei. The construction of this new headquarters is slated to commence this year, with the goal of commencing operations by 2030.
