On May 26, Business Insider reported that Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, chastised certain CEOs for using AI as a pretext for layoffs, branding such claims as "overly simplistic." He emphasized that AI is still in its nascent stages and only became genuinely efficient and practical about six months ago. Consequently, earlier rounds of layoffs were unrelated to AI. Huang expressed strong disapproval, stating that some executives are merely attempting to "appear intelligent" with this tactic.
