On May 26th, Shenzhen unveiled the blueprint for its 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, outlining an ambitious strategy to energetically cultivate emerging pillar sectors such as AI devices, the low-altitude industry, embodied intelligent robotics, the oceanic economy, and commercial space travel. The plan encompasses expediting the research, development, and deployment of next-generation intelligent devices, including AI-driven smartphones and computers, smart home appliances, and intelligent wearables. It also advocates for the widespread adoption of comprehensive intelligence solutions for individuals, vehicles, and homes. Simultaneously, the plan sets its sights on constructing a robust framework for the low-altitude industry's growth, refining airspace support mechanisms, broadening application scenarios, and bolstering global competitiveness. Furthermore, the blueprint underscores the importance of elevating the development standard of embodied intelligent robotics, achieving significant advancements in core components, AI integration, and multi-modal perception capabilities, thereby establishing Shenzhen as a worldwide epicenter for technological innovation and industrial progression. Regarding the oceanic economy, the strategy involves expanding and solidifying new avenues for growth, such as offshore oil and gas exploration, shipbuilding, and marine engineering equipment manufacturing.
