As AI and the robotics industry become increasingly intertwined, embodied intelligence has emerged as a fresh battleground in the war for talent. From January to April 2026, job postings for embodied intelligence roles skyrocketed, witnessing a 15-fold surge year-on-year, and the average monthly salary for these positions soared to 62,000 yuan. During this same timeframe, the new economy sector saw a 22.6% uptick in new job listings, while AI-related roles multiplied by 8.7 times, with their share of the job market jumping from 2.78% to 22.03%. Despite robust financing in the embodied intelligence arena, salary offerings still lag behind those of large model companies. These tech giants, bolstered by hefty investments in computing hardware and the colossal value generated by their top-tier researchers, continue to enjoy a significant salary edge. The pervasive fear of missing out (FOMO) in the AI sector is driving tech firms to hasten their strategic moves (or deployment) in the realm of embodied intelligence.
