On May 20, the 4th China AIGC Industry Summit convened in Beijing, bringing together nearly 20 industry experts for in-depth discussions on the commercialization of AI Agents, advancements in multimodal technologies, and the development of computing infrastructure. According to the report unveiled at the summit, by April 2026, monthly web visits to AI applications in China are projected to exceed 900 million, with monthly app downloads surpassing 240 million and daily active users experiencing a remarkable 223% year-on-year growth. Furthermore, the average daily Token calls in China are anticipated to exceed 140 trillion, representing a staggering thousandfold increase over the past two years. The report classifies domestic AI applications into four primary sectors: intelligent assistants, entertainment and lifestyle, productivity tools, and creative applications. Notably, AI productivity tools command over 70% of web-based user activity, while the daily active users of AI creative apps have witnessed an extraordinary 449% year-on-year surge. Additionally, the report forecasts five major trends shaping the future of AI in China: the rise of Agentization, the democratization of models, the integration of entry points, the acceleration of monetization, and the deepening of vertical applications.
