At a time when generative AI has not yet been deeply integrated into enterprise business processes, European enterprise software giant SAP has taken the initiative by announcing its planned acquisition of Prior Labs, a German AI startup founded just 18 months ago. SAP also plans to invest €1 billion (approximately $1.16 billion) in the business over the next four years to establish a 'cutting-edge AI lab' in Europe focused on structured data.
