Revenue generated from its imaging and design products soared to RMB 852 million, reflecting a robust 34.3% increase compared to the same period last year, while other business segments maintained stability. The company has, for the first time, unveiled its annual recurring revenue (ARR) metric for AI productivity applications, which stood at approximately RMB 580 million, marking a significant 56.2% year-on-year surge.
In the first quarter of 2026, revenue from lifestyle applications constituted 82% of the total revenue from imaging and design products, experiencing a 35.5% year-on-year uptick. Meanwhile, revenue from productivity applications accounted for roughly 18%, with a remarkable 45.4% year-on-year growth. The number of paid subscribers in this category also witnessed a substantial 52.9% year-on-year increase, reaching 2.34 million.
Meitu is actively diversifying its business model. Beyond paid subscriptions, users now have the option to purchase additional AI computing power points or individual features on an as-needed basis. In March 2026, spending on AI computing power points for imaging and design products saw a 59% increase compared to December 2025, with the growth primarily fueled by productivity applications.
